Blogs helping Blogs or How a ThinkTank Counsels a Doctor

Dear JGDThinkTank
I have been a huge fan of you guys from the beginning. Your minds are so powerful like a weapon. But we need some advice. My colleagues and I have this Blog together, called Dr. Doolittle's room. It is a Blog designed to really inspire people to fulfill their life dream and we make a point to really tackle some of today's toughest issues, like inertia. But we don't seem to be getting much response from people - the blog isn't working to inspire people to fulfill their life dream.

So we have pooled our money together and have decided to buy some Billboards in Chattanooga, especially around the Hamilton Place Mall. (We think that would be a good way of getting the word out about Dr. Doolittle's room - and we figure lots of kids out by the mall could use some inspiration - because kids who hang out at the mall are losers and a lot of times obese, but the hip down town kids might like Doolittle's room too.)
The rumor is that one of you guys knows a lot about business stuff and has a fancy degree. I also heard that another one of you lives in a big city and takes snap shots of candles and people holding candles - artsy stuff. Is this true? (I don't know how many other people think in your tank)
I thought we could get your professional business advice on some of our Billboard ideas and you could tell us if any of them might be effective to get people to go to Dr. Doolittle's room.
Billboard #1
A Picture of a bunch of hot girls doing Yoga in a room - eyes closed. In big words it says:
"Get off your butt - go to Dr. Doolittle’s room" - and web address at bottom
Billboard #2
A Picture of a huge trophy (with soccer player on top) - Big words say:
"Dr. Doolittle’s Room - unanimously voted number one Blog on Chattablogs"
- this is a lie, but I think it would be very compelling
Billboard #3
No picture, just a flower pattern with stars everywhere. Big words say:
Learn how to build a time machine at Dr. Doolittle’s room.
- this is metaphorically speaking of course.
So what do you think? Would these get people to go to our website? Maybe you guys could come up with something better for us with your thinking.
Are billboards a good idea? Should we do commercials? Do you know how much advertising in Chattanooga costs? And lastly, can we charge people to look at our Blog?
Thanks so much. We look forward to your advice.
Sincerely
The Dr. Doolittle's Room Staff

Dear Dr. Doolittle Room Staff,
I like idea number 2 and 3. I would include a little boy in a soccer uniform that's about 3 sizes too big holding the trophy in the 2nd idea. As far as advertising methods, Billboards would be OK, but I wouldn't really waste my money on too many commercials. In fact, I think gorilla marketing tactics would work best for promoting a website. Take out an ad on all of the local online papers/magazines and hand out fliers at Hipster hangouts. As far as charging to access your blog, it would be more difficult since your blog is through Chattablogs, however having people pay to access a site isn't a new concept and has actually done alright (ex. David Bowie's website). I would look into having your site hosted elsewhere and hire a web programmer to set up a subscription service. And I would try to increase the amount of content available each day. I hope we answered your questions to your liking. Once again sorry about the wait, we hope that this does not deter you from coming to us again with your issues. Good luck with your future business endeavors.
